IMPORTANT CHANGES!
I apologize for the abrupt change and inconvenience the new name might
have for those of you used to looking for 96LIST, but it seems the day
has arrived that 9600 bps is becoming the norm (and even subnorm) for
bulletin boards. HST, Hayes' v-series, Telebit PEP, Compucom CSP and
even the ZyXEL proprietary speeds are or will soon become of less
interest to the average BBS caller. Even the current v.fast class
listings in 144BBS will soon be deleted with v.34 right around the
corner, but for now, we'll include it as a separate listing. Plus, this
gives someone else the opportunity to step in and compile a BBS list for
those interested in those types of connections.
96LIST was also due for an overhaul as well. Many numbers were old, and
many BBS names, numbers and modems had been changed as can be expected
in the world of computing. I've taken this opportunity to start with a
semi-clean slate and by dropping many of the systems in 96LIST, get the
much needed updated info on those systems.
I hope the new info in 144LIST serves your needs and if I omitted or
have the incorrect info on your favorite system, please see the info in
the 144LIST archive for how to get it included.
